ACTS - Area Churches Together Serving
The
purpose of ACTS is to give temporary and/or emergency aid, in the name of
Christ, to persons in need in the Aiken, SC area. Operating expenses of
ACTS are met through member church dues, individual and organizational
contributions, grants, and the ACTS Thrift Store. The first Sunday of every
month, we at Bethlehem try to fill the big green basket in the Information
Center with items to donate to ACTS. In addition to canned and dry food items,
they accept cleaning supplies and brown paper bags.
Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons
The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Personsl is a non-profit agency, which provides
services for abused women, their children, teens and men. All their services are 100%
free and confidential. Their mission is to help abused women and their children break
the cycle of violence in their lives by offering safe, confidential services and shelter.
Aiken Pregnancy Care Center
A Christian ministry promoting God's design for women. The Center does this by building
relationships, offering free practical help, counseling and education programs and
pregnancy testing, all in an atmosphere of Christian love.
Food Pantries
Our members give a part of their treasures
to local food pantries. Each year food items are collected and donated to
those in need.
